Obvious question, but I'm asking it anyway!

I know this is probably an obvious question, but can anyone order from the children's menu, or is it just children 9 and under?

I know that when my nephew was 10 and considered an adult they let him order from the childrens menu. I think they will let you but if you are on the dining plan it will still cost you and adult table serving. I hope this helps!

Thanks for the responses so far. I'm going to try and NOT do the dining play this year - we've done it the past two trips - I'm just going through menu's now and looking to see price wise what is most cost effective. And when I ask about kids meals, I only mean for the CS meals.

We didn't have the dining plan and my son, who was 13, was able to order off the childrens' menu when there was nothing he liked the look of on the adult menu. They even made it up to an adult sized portion for him.

If your wondering about CS kids meals. No problem here, since it's usually just one person ordering the food at CS and the CM is not going to question you if your ordering the kids CS for a kid.

I believe the kid's menus are tagged with some language about "for kids under 10 only please" or some such. But Disney does not always enforce their own policies and this is one that seldom seems to get enforced (at a counter service place they don't know who you are ordering for anyway).

So I think the answer is "technically, they could turn you down - probably, you'll be able to eat all the kid's meals you want."

2) Anyone can order from the kid's menu.
3) Whether cash or DDP.
4) But, if on DDP, anyone over 9yo will be charged an adult coupon.
5) Which, of course, is a terrible, terrible, terrible wast of money.

NOTE: Anyone 3-9 on DDP must order from the kid's menu, if available.

Oh for counter service? Absolutely. I've ordered kids' meals in the past when I didn't want a lot of food. As someone stated earlier, none of the cast members ringing up orders would know if you're a parent ordering the meal for a child or not. You won't be questioned.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to answer my somewhat goofy question!

I'm trying to go as frugal as possible this trip and the dining plan isn't going to be in the budget this year. My kids are 5, 4 and 2 and they can certainly share a meal between 2 of them (they do this already at home when we go out to eat, with my oldest having a cup of soup and salad as her meal - she's an easy kid to feed!). And I figure my DH and I can share a meal or two (regular size) and if we're not in the mood or just want a snack can have a kids sized meal now and then.

I'm just happy to be going back to WDW!!! I'm budgeting in 2 ts meals - breakfast w/stitch and friends on my ds's birthday (his favorite is stichey) and then a dinner at Chef Mickey's (the girls picked this one...we've never been and seeing Donald was a must this trip!).

The rest we'll do cs or even ts but ordering apps instead of full meals and sharing.
