Observation about Pat O'Briens

When walking around Citywalk for a place to eat dinner, we walked into Pat O'Briens to check it out. Only 3 people were in the place, sitting at the bar. Do they serve dinner?

We had an excellent dinner last week. We used 2 clear channel gift certificates. Our server Dave was great - he was very attentive and alot of fun. Tuesday is half-price appetizers and two for one drinks. DH and I each had 2 Hurricanes. Let me just say that these drinks were much stronger than drinks we had anywhere else! We will definately go back to Pat O again

Did you see the Dueling Pianos?? When do they play? I want to see them but have 2 kids (12 & 9) and I read the kids can't go into that area. Can you hear them from the dining area?

We are going to try and go on Tuesdays for the 1/2 price appetizers. We also have the gift certificates.

No - we didn't see the pianos. We ate outside - it was comfortable since the sun had gone down and they have fans blowing all around.

We took our kids in in march for a meal after that we went in to Piano Bar we left before 9pm though

Pats does indeed serve dinner outside in the courtyard. For the summer, the courtyard is being greeter seated until 10pm on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday nights. There are some really excellent servers there - Michael is lots of fun and a real sweetheart - but honestly all of them tend to be great guys and gals.

As far as their dueling pianos, if you've ever been to JellyRolls at Disney's Boardwalk Resort, you'll think the guys/gals playing at Pats are pretty crappy. Most of them don't seem to be able to actually sing which makes it kind of painful on the ears.

And definitely watch out for the Hurricanes, especially if they've just prepared a fresh vat. They can definitely sneak up on ya.

Did you use the 2 GCs together on one bill, or did you have to use one for the bar bill and one for the food bill? Also, can you order the 2 for 1 drinks and appys at the table or only in the bar? I also have 2 GCs for Pat's, and am hoping we can use them both at the dinner table. Thnaks for any info.

We ended up using our gc's for a to go order and the bartender said we could use them both on one tab. We tried to eat there for dinner, but it was not a good day for weather and they refused to seat us inside so we left.

Pat O'Brien's is GREAT!

My wife and I went there one night and about 4pm they had 2 "senior" folk playing piano, but they were good. At 6 pm they changed to 2 middle aged guys who were even better. At 8 pm they changed again to guy (25ish) and a girl (25ish) who were great! We ended up staying from 4-10pm and had a wonderful time. Good food as well.
