Obese children on Maury

I rarely watch Maury Povich anymore and not sure when the last time this storyline has been on. It always saddens me when I see obese children on that show and the parents are so in denile. I also HATE how the overweight toddlers are only put in diapers and in front of a table filled with sweets and other fatning food. It's like they're going way out of the way to make fun of these children when they're suppose to be helping them. Has anyone else seen that topic on the show and feel the same?

It's been many years since I saw Maury, but I remember he had this topic on way back then. It was new at the time. I found it interesting only in the fact that this was one of the first times I saw parents not be parents and children run the household with their demands and temper fits. Nowadays, it's a common occurance. Still, it is sad to see them exploit the overweight kids. If he were educating us to some rare medical condition, that would be one thing, but to just show us ignorant and/or uncaring parents jeopardizing their children's health, that's something else.
