I asked this once before but didn't receive any answer. Gonna try again.

For those who have rebooked onboard and gotten the OBC and the discount, is there any place on the confirmation that says you are entitled to either of these? Or is it just noted on the reservation at DCL?

Thanks--DG

The price they will give you reflects the 10% discount and the OBC, there will be a note in your stateroom ( a size of postcard) informing you of the OBC and will be on your statement. Remember, this is an on board credit, you cant use it towards your deposit or the balance to be paid before your sail date.
Hope this answer your question

lrodptl Actually they do apply to all rooms......I got the 10% off a cat. 3 for our september and 400 onboard credit....It's usually 200, but we went on the special san juan cruise and they were offering a special.

As of last Saturday my wife was told on board the Wonder at guest services that the discounts applied to 7 day cruises only and did not apply to Cat 3 and above. I will reconfirm this with her and repost.

On the Passenger Confirmation I got from my TA there was a note that stated, briefly and mysteriously, consumer SBC. I didn't find out that this meant Consumer Ship Board Credit until I asked the TA if there was any documentation that stated I had a credit.

I think it would be nice of DCL to give you some sort of confirmation that your booking includes the $200 obc at the time of your booking.

During my last cruise I checked at guest services the first day and they said credits had not been posted yet but were in the process of being posted. I checked the next day and same story. Figured I'd give them a break and didn't bother. Well, I received my statement and it wasn't there. Down to guest services I go and they can't help me. I ended up calling DCL reservations and it was eventually cleared up.

I did sweat it out because I didn't have anything in writing from DCL saying I was entitled to it. If it was not in there system I have no clue what I'd have done. I've had similar issuees at hotels and first thing thye've asked is: "Do you have that in writing?"

Bottom line, I feel, is to get everything in writing and in a manner identifiable to the company you're making reservations with. Really avoids a problem later for everyone involved.

To clarify,my wife said she read an offer while standing in line at guest services which applied to cat 4-12 only! She said there may have been other offers.

These discounts do not apply to concierge rooms!

lrodptl -- yes these discounts do apply to concierge rooms. We rebooked in May 2002 for June 2004 and did get the 10% discount and the $200 credit. We've booked back-to-back cruises (in a Cat. 2) for August 2006 and will receive the 10% discount and $200 credit for each cruise. HTH
