It's a great time! Here's what happened to me. We arrived at our tee time and learned that they were doing something to the other courses, so all golfers were moved to Oak Trail. I didn't see a problem with it. Until I found myself allowing a lot of really good golfing groups to go ahead of me. It was a nice, 6 am tee-time, too! I'm so happy I went early, I couldn't imagine what would happen later.
I did get a free ride over to the center and back to the Contemporary. I came back soaked from the morning dew. There will be animals out there in the bushes (large ones) so beware. We did come across an alligator and moved on to the next hole.
It was great exercise, and wiped me out for the day (we already planned a character breakfast after and a pool day).
If you golf in the summer and have an early morning tee time, wear shoes that you don't mind getting soaked and/or covered in mud.
All in all, renting clubs (and I rented their shoes, thank god!) it was just under $100 for two adults.
The clubs were Taylormade (which tailspins-ed into me buying some after using them there).
