Oak Plantation or Amerisuites...which would you choose?

I (think) I got really good rates at both of these resorts, but I wondered if anyone out there has had any first-hand experience at either of these resorts?

Oak Plantation is a 2 bedroom/2 bath for $74.50. Amerisuites is smaller, for $49.50 and includes breakfast (there are 5 of us). Both pools look nice (my kids are fish).

We have narrowed it down to these 2 resorts, but would love your opinions/suggestions.

This is driving me crazy! But planning is part of the fun, right???

We've stayed at the Amerisuites on International Drive and liked it. The breakfast is a deluxe continental breakfast, fresh fruit, waffles, french toast, cereal, yogurt, etc. and it suits my girls just perfectly. However, the two bedroom, two bath seems like it would be a lot bigger. The rooms at the Amerisuites are somewhat small, with only a partition wall, and not an actual door, separating the "suite" area. We have 5 in our family (with one being an infant) and we were a little cramped. I'm not sure how long you'll be staying (like maybe you don't mind being cramped for 3-4 day) or how much time you'll spend in the room (when we visit we're always on the go, go, go). If you expect to be in the room a lot or spend some time at the hotel just hanging out, the I'd say go for the bigger space.

hi. i am going through the same thing. i am also considering the oak plantation from what i can see looks very nice. i have heard also that the amerisuites rooms are small. the oak plantation seems to give you more for your money....im still hunting too so if you here of any great deals please let me know.

We stayed at both places and I could kick my husband for choosing Ameriasuites the first time!
We stayed at Oak Plantation and there were 6 of us, and it was wonderful. The pools were nice, the Jacuzzi(outdoor)was nice too. You can always take food and cook it or have cereal for breakfast. If u feel romantic, you will still have your privacy!
