O/T Oxford Street Disney Store Opening

I'm quite excited!! Earlier today I was very disappointed as they can not hold a grand opening on the scale of the past store opening in Milton Keynes due to the road works outside, BUT, I am going with a few DisneyBrit people for a special "back stage" tour of the shop before its officially opened! Really excited now, even if it means getting up really early to get into London - hoorah for the high speed link! - as we may get a chance to see Mickey and Minnie in their pirate outfits before they get mobbed (there is no official meet and greet so a lot of sad children will be around tomorrow).

So tomorrow, it will be my first ever chance to shop in a UK Disney Store with out getting an elbow in my side, or getting run over by that rogue customer with a wheelie trolly!!!

Is anyone else going up or already been?? I know Ware Bears is going along too and I want to wish her happy birthday!!

Ooh, I am so excited you were one of the 12, Lisa!! I managed to read Adam's (DisneyBrit) updates before I left for work but didn't dare put my name down in case I didn't make it there in time. I took the opportunity to have a lie-in instead and went to have a look round the store later on in the day. I really like the way they have incorporated the castle into the design.

Hope you really enjoyed the tour.

Where is it?
Had heard Oxford Street but didnt see it when I was up there yesterday

It's right where the roadworks are so maybe that's why you didn't notice it. We used Oxford Circus tube station to get there, I think that's the closest one but someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Bond Street is the closest Elaine - just simply cross the road and turn right, and it's a couple of stores down And I LOVE the Castle inside!!! Oh it really gave me a buzz being in there (and I have to say, Disney Ambassador Jonathon was just the best giving us the tour, he really knows his stuff!)

OMG I was so close, I was at Bond Street station but all I could see was scaffolding

I stood there for ages watching the interactive trees - what amazed me was the way people were going in and out the shop and not even noticing them!

And I had a lovely day thanks, I'm going to start my trippie tomorrow ... hopefully.
