... and now I understand many DISers' raving comments! Wow!

This completely changes my dessert plans for the upcoming trip...;)

Creme brulee rocks! It is a great diet killer. :guilty:

A lot of the higher end Disney restaurants have creme brulee on the desert menu. California Grill comes to mind immediately, and it is delicious.

Where did you have it? My niece, 5, saw it on a cooking show and thinks it looks yummy! princess:

Everything at Disney is low cal!! :teeth:

It is a great dessert - I think I ate it in a few restaurants last trip! Managed a few in France last month too! I just wish they were bigger. :confused3

One of my favorite desserts. Now, if they would just serve it to me in a 2 quart casserole dish I'd be all set! :teeth:

Isn't it creamy and heavenly?!! Now that you are onto it, I would highly recommend the Pistachio Creme Brulee at Jiko.

It's kind of like a baked custard, with a thin, hard sugar shell on top. The creme brulee at Kona and Brown Derby were both wonderful.

Question, is the brulee warm or cold at le cieller. I have never had creme brulee. But willing to try it maybe, I am hoping it is warm. So, please tell me. Thanks in advance

If I remember correctly it was warm :) Not like burn your mouth hot but I'm pretty sure it wasn't anywhere near cold. HTH

I erm chose over half the restaraunts we are going to based on the fact they have creme brulee. There are only 3 or so without it, and two of those were hubby's choice.

Thanks for the information, I think I'll try it when I go to Le Cellier.

I'm not changing any ADR's at this point, so Le Cellier's the place for me this trip! Bring on that maple creme brulee!!

Has anybody noticed that the Disney Channel is obsessed with creme brulee? Anytime a dessert is mentioned, including in High School Musical, it's creme brulee.

Just thought I'd mention it. :rotfl2:

I too highly recommend the Pistachio Creme Brulee at Jiko.

DCL has very yummy Creme Brulee as well. I usually order two...One just isn't enough! (My pants, of course, have a differing opinion!)

I just have to bring this up:

A couple of years ago someone posted here that they finally tried creme brulee because of all the hype but when they tried they thought "yuck, they ruined pudding" :rotfl2:

Anyway, my family now refers to creme brulee as "ruined pudding" and we love it--all kinds. I have a little torch to make it at home and often do. I will also order it out whenever it is offered.

Our Christmas trip it was my goal to try as many creme brulee's as possible. The highlights were the aforementioned Maple Creme brulee (be sure and try a bite with the strawberry garnish) at Le Cellier, and the Banana creme brulee at Kona was FABULOUS!

This made me laugh because quite a few years ago when my 22 year old son was 4 we went to Universal and ate at the all you can eat Mexican place they used to have where the Italian place is now.
He had flan and loved it. About 2 months later I was going grocery shopping and he asked me if I could get him some "phlegm" like he had at the restaraunt in Universal. It took me some time to figure out what he meant, but now we eat phlegm every time we go to the local Mexican restaraunt in town.

One word of warning on creme brulee in WDW. Don't get the one they have at the food market in The Land. Yuck, it was worse than bad. Peggie
