O/T Game Boy Advance SP or Nintendo Lite SP

I'm try to get some of my Christmas shopping done. I want to get my 6 year old daughter a hand held game. She has never owned one before. She loves playing games on our computer, such as Noggin , PBS Kids and Nick jr. I want one that isn't too expensive and has ganes she would like. I think she would enjoy any princess game. maybe mario bros, any kind of animal, and any game that would be found of the websites above. Any suggestion would be very helpful.

I own a Nintendo DS (and I am 22). I have to say it was one of my best purchases EVER!! It is so much fun. There are so many different kinds of games- something for everyone.

My son has Nintendo DS and yesterday I bought one for my 7 year old daughter (in pink, of course.) I got it on Amazon.com, where I also got her a Hannah Montana game and a Suite Life game... I think each game was the the $20 range.

My mom just got a DS lite (we got it free for signing up for our cable/internet/phone when we moved) and we all love it. My sister (8) and brother (6) are getting game boy advances for Christmas...We are all new to these kinds of games. Check around, Target, Sears and Toys R US as some games on clearance that are pretty cheap (under $15) . I know the target here had a disney princess game for about $10 and TRU has a Franklin game for about that price as well...The game boys are $79.99...my mom has not found them cheaper anywhere. that seems to be the set price the DS is $129.99 same thing set price..Not sure if they will go on sale in the next few weeks. Both come in several colors (though Target seems to only carry blue Game Boys) Also the DS also accepts the game boy advance games so you could get that and get the cheaper games (the DS is newer so the games seem a lot pricier..)
