O.K. Tell me about OKW bus service....

The day of my bday, Aug 11, we are wanting to get to MK for opening ceremony. So how early does the first bus come?
Also any feedback you can give on the OKW's bus service in summer months. I did a search of forum, but found a lot of bad experiences with the bus in the summer. I know, it's summer, crowded, had experiences with all that, just didn't know what I could expect. Should I see if I can get a room near the HH to be near the main bus stop??

I do not know what time the bus schedules begin but it is early enough to get to the opening ceremony for sure. I would simply ask at the front desk and if they do not know - they will find out for you.

The buses at OKW have improved greatly over their past reputation for being sub-par. On my past two trips to OKW I never waited more than 10 minutes and most waits where of about 3-5 minutes. So I would say the bus service is up to par at this point at least from my experiences.

Should I see if I can get a room near the HH to be near the main bus stop??
As for staying near the HH - If you are concerned with crowded buses, I would not stay near the HH as it is the last stop on all routes before departing the resort. I like staying near the HH when travelling with kids (pool, new slide, arcade, store, rec room) but otherwise I would prefer the Turtle Pond area as it has a nice pool and decent amentities (snack shack, shuffle board, barbeque) and is the 2nd stop on the bus routes.
