This is for those who are taking the New York Institute of Photogarphy's course right now.

Now that you are well into the course, are you finding it worth your time and money? What do you wish was different? What do you like, not like, about the course?

I am seriously considering stating the Professional course and just want to ensure I am taking the correct route.

Honestly, unless you have a really good deal from them right now (I got the whole Pro course for $650) I would wait. They wil llower the prices and at that time, I could give you a better idea as to what it is like. I can tell you this:

I have only finished Unit One. This unit was primarily about the overall use of the camera, shutter speed, aperture, lenses, etc. This was all stuff that I pretty much already knew. Also, it is a bit outdated. Alot of what they speak about concerns film cameras. However, that being said, it also pertains to digital in most if not all the ways. I have not completed the photo assignment as of yet. When I do and when I get the instructors comments on my photos and Unit Two sent to me, I will be able to tell you alot more.

Overall, I am pleased with the first Unit. It forces me to sit daown and really understand the concepts. It also gives me something to look back on to reinforce my knowledge.

Let me know if you have any real specific questions and I would be glad to answer them.
