No, we duct taped Owen to the front of the car and forced him to take pictures. ;)

You guys are all talking about your hair, and then you repost this picture of Claudia. Now I am going to get a beating, thanks a lot. :scared1:

Hey everyone!! I've been lurking and the Artman has been keeping me up to date, but I thought I'd better post so you didn't think Artie had gotten rid of me (See picture of me and my new monkey, I mean, Boyfriend).

Let me first just say "Oh My God!! Can you believe my husband posted that picture of me on test track?!?"
Man, and you think you need help with your New Year's hair. Actually, I have been wondering what to do myself about the whole hair thing. I just reciently got my long hair cut to just above my shoulders (also see monkey picture). I can't get it all pulled up by myself...I think I might just style it down. Is anyone else letting it hang for the big night?

By the way...Disney was groovy!:hippie: But I missed my men.

Claudia's here!
:cheer2:
Claudia, that's a daggone good picture, considering the wind is blowing your skin off at 65 mph!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I'm doing my own hair, I've decided, and not an updo. My hair's layered now; it would be too difficult for me to do it up anyway. I'll just make sure I don't forget my own blowdryer, since the one on the ship is positively limp!

Thanks for the hairdryer tip. I have a lot of hair and require power:scared1:

I actually love that picture. Artie is always making sure we have our memories captured, even if it means a bad hair shot. His mom would be thrilled to know that picture of her is floating around in cyberspace HAHA:rotfl:

Now that I know what I'm doing with my hair I guess I can get back to weight management. I was doing sooo good before June hit. Then it was reportcards, new property, Disney trip. I hope that dress I bought still fits. Ok Treadmill, here I come... Tomorrow is officially day 1 of back to the treadmill. I'll keep you posted.

I just remembered...Tig was getting the vet news about her dog Mika today. I hope she got good news. I'm worried because she hasn't posted today.

NOW.. for the cruise.. Tigg, Which Ruin's tour are you doing? What time do you think they are going to have us back to the ship? I was thinking that I might want someone to do my hair at the Salon, but if the tour runs long, I dont see how I can do both. It says 7 - 7.5 hrs.. but doesnt say what time it starts at!!!

Grand Cayman.. what is everyone doing there?

We'll do Tulum~

From 930 that puts us back at the ship by 4/430

Aisling, how long did your hair take for Christmas~

is THAT what that vacuum looking thing is in the BR????????:lmao: thank goodness i ALWAYS take my own blowdryer.....

okay - i'm with all of you on this darn diet.....i was doing sooooo well than there was Iowa - then Italy...then SLO...now i have NO excuse whatsoever AND with all this walking, it's the perfect time to REALLY get serious about a darn diet.....for me it's recording the points - ALL OF THEM - ALL DAY - EVERY DAY!!

I'm all caught up...Mika and her cancer are most likely always going to be doing a tugowar with the chemo. When the glands swell, we'll have to up the chemo. IOW, she probably will never go into full remission. :(

I can live with this. I want her to enjoy one more week in NC with us and then take whatever comes~

Tig, it took less than 30 minutes, from waiting a few minutes for the stylist, then talking about what style I wanted, then her fiddling around with twists and such, then selecting that $20 hairclip, and then chatting with you and Nan.

{{{Hugs to you, Tig.}}}

Yay, Brenda's in!:yay:

Move that body, count those points, drink that water, put down that cookie!

(No, that's NOT me!!!)

At $12 each for a raffle, they must sell tons! But Judy, you said you have a pool, so to me, you already have a dream home!

What colleges is your daughter interested in? Does she know what she wants to do as a career? I'll be facing this next term with my Jesse, as he'll be a junior.

LOL about the extra pounds! I'm going to have to add some of these:yay: to my treadmill routine if I want to see some faster results!

Actually, we did build our dream home 6 years ago. We have 6 wooded acres, and we are on a culdesac. You have a choice of the house, or cash option. I would take the cash with the way the housing market is.

Kelly is looking at smaller colleges in Ohio. She doesn't want to be more than 2-3 hours from home. She has no clue what she wants to do though. It isn't a fun process. At least she already took her ACT.

Lazy day for me today.

Judy

Judy we're lucky to live in a city with so many great college choices right at home. My Jesse wants to go to Chad's alma mater, which is a 20 minute subway ride away. The great thing is that this school is very generous with scholarships, so this upcoming grade 11 is very important, as this is the year the college looks at as far as grades. I told Jesse if he gets a full scholarship, we'll buy him a new car, so that's an incentive for him to work hard in school. It would cost less for us to buy him a brand new Honda Civic than the cost of tuition!

Now some news! Chad's coming home on Friday!!!!!!!!!!! Thursday is the last day of classes, and he opted to come home rather than stay the extra 2 weeks to wait for his grades, since he already knows. By cruise time, he'll be preparing for Graduate School graduation! He's going to go on for his PhD, but will do it slowly while hopefully working in his profession. Gosh, he'll only be 23, he has time! This study trip to Italy has been fantastic for him, and he really needed the international exposure for his profession. He's very much looking forward to meeting you all on the cruise!!!

Artman, how did you know I was thinking of you with my bullhorn disclaimer?

Aisling great news about Chad. I'm sure you're thrilled to have him come home.
Good incentive for Jesse too. I completely agree that most new cars are cheaper than tuition. When Jimmy (that's what I call him, all his friends call him Jim) applied to different colleges, the more expensive ones offered him more money. I was happy that he liked the one that was less expensive!

Just a hunch:goodvibes

Hi everyone,

The picture I posted is from Oct 2006. Since then I have put on 35 lbs. I would LOVE to look like I did in that picture or better. I would love to be able to fit into my new clothes. That picture was of us boarding the Wonder for a 4 night Halloween cruise to Nassau.

Aisling, what are Chad's degrees in?

I feel like I missed so much yesterday.. I was in the field.. no internet connection!!

We leave tomorrow at the crack of dawn. We can not wait!!! I am all packed and ready to go!!!! Brian, as normal, has over packed.. I have probably under packed. HA

Have a great trip Kelly. Hope the weather treats you well. I think you should get Brian a beer at Canada or Germany while you have your Grand Marnier slushy.
