NYE Restaurant Suggestions?

We have a group of 8 traveling at Christmas. We are thinking an early (5:00ish) dinner somewhere. We are on the dining plan and this will be our last day of the trip.

Any suggestions? We were planning to stay away from the parks that day. My husband suggested Ohana but with all the terrible reviews, I wanted to see if there were other options. It would need to be 1 table service credit.

Maybe something at AKL? Sanaa or Boma? I guess the question is, are you looking for low(er) key or bonkers chaos?

Our NYE reservation for past holiday was at Disney Springs. Suited our want to get away from the crowds and have a decent meal. As a bonus we saw fireworks as well.

Ohana for casual..fireworks from beach area
Grand Floridian cafe, a tiny bit more upscale..fireworks from beach area
Ale and Compass if youre all adults..nice lounge area and you can catch Epcot fireworks just outside.

I would look at Trattoria al Forno if you want the Boardwalk area, GFC if you want the monorail, Sanaa if you want to escape from the WDW hubbub, and Storybook Dining if you want to enjoy WL and a last character meal.

We are in the same boat. Chose Nine Dragons as we are staying at BC and wanted to be in Epcot. We did Teppan Edo the last time we were there for NYE. Then we slip out of the park and watch the fireworks from the boardwalk area. Unfortunately, I am not sure of the dining plan, but Epcot is always a great choice.
