The electrical water pageant to me was one of my fondest memories of Disney as a child.
We will be arriving in Disney the afternoon of New Years Eve this year and I would like nothing more then to show the kids the EWP.
Please read my plan and give me an opinion.
* Eat dinner at POP (where we will be staying) and then head over to the Poly beach. Hang out on the beach and watch wishes and the EWP.
My only concerns:
1. If I stay to watch the EWP will I then not be in a huge crowd to get back to POP.
I assume that after watching the EWP, I will have to get back to MK and then take a bus back to POP? Or using, disney transportation is there an easier way to get back to POP?
I also assume that therefore, I will in a huge crowd at MK trying to leave after wishes??? I have a child who doesn't handle crowds well (that is why we are not going to any parks NYE).

2. What do wishes look like from the poly beach? Are they almost as good as being in MK?

Any thoughts on this plan or will I get hung up in a huge crowd at the MK disney bus area?

Thank you
Suzy V.

I suggest you eat a 'Ohana before viewing the Electric Water Pageant. It is a wonderful restaurant for kids and adults.
I haven't been there since Wishes began, but I've read other reports that watching the fireworks from the beach is great.
I'm not sure, but you might be able to catch a bus to Pop from the Ticket & Transportation Center, to avoid the MK crowds. I hope someone else can tell us whether this is an option.

Sure, you can walk from Poly to T&T to get the bus. Since it's NYE, most people will be staying in the park after Wishes, waiting for midnight. You shouldn't have any trouble, I wouldn't think.

Hi we will be there there on NYE also! I was there two weeks ago...

The EWP is GREAT from the Poly...top notch!

Wishes is good as well but not AS good as being right there.....

Hope this helps....

I also need a plan for NYE....hmmm
