NYE MK to Epcot Question

My daughter and I will be spending NYE at Disney. We plan to take the bus from the Swan to MK in time to be there for EMH at 8AM. After a 12:30 lunch at MK, we plan to spend the afternoon at Epcot then walk back to the Swan. I have heard about how bad traffic is on NYE at Disney, so I am wondering what would be the best way make our trip from MK to Epcot. I estimate that we will leave MK around 2 or 2:30. Would it be quicker to take the monorail or a bus? Thanks for any opinions!

I don't know if its quicker but I would take the monorail to the TTC then switch to Epcot track. Just like the monorail better than bus...

Monorail. Avoid the roads in the afternoon. Traffic is at a standstill.

Monorail. Absolutely. We sat on a bus for an 1 1/2 hours going from POP to EP on NYE at 10:00 in the morning!
