NYE @ Epcot?

Hello! Just wondering if anyone's heard any news of any special going ons at Epcot on NYE? Someone mentioned to me that there is usually a buffet style meal w/some type of musical entertainment offered as a special event. Is this true?

Hi, I've been waiting to hear about this myself. The information was out already at this time last year so I went ahead and made dinner ressies. I think if they post something about the party I will proably cancel but at least I have a nice place to eat. I suggest you make a back-up plan too. Good luck maybe we will see you at the buffet.

funhouse8, thanks for the reply! I hope something does come up. Have you been to a special event at Epcot for NYE before? Have there been other special events for NYE besides the PI event in the past?

We actually did make a reservation for Morroco as our back up plan! I wanted to make sure we had a nice dinner scheduled in case nothing else happened.

Last year we were there for NYE and we had ps at Teppanyaki. There was a buffet at the old millenium village building(between UK and Canada) called Rockn Roll NY. They have live bands(for kids and adults and activites for everyone. You can leave and tour epcot and return. I think it was less than $100 but can't remember exactly. Heard it was fun. Swan and Dolphin also have an event with 2 seatings and optional party for $$$. I'll be there at NYE this year also. Have ps at Brown Derby.

Here is the link from last year. This party sounds like fun. No I never been in the parks before during the Christmas holiday. I'm real excited because we also will be in the parks for my birthday. Yeah. 12/30/ We made ressies for Teppanyaki and I'm looking forward to that also. I guess we will just have to wait and see. The rock & roll Buffet was very reasonable priced compared to everything else on NYE.
