NYE Epcot party stuff

Hi I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they hand out party stuff like noise makers and hats at Epcot on New Years eve or do we have to bring our own?

YEP! They sure do. I don't remeber about the noise makers, but we still have our hats from when we went 5 years ago. I have been to WDW 8 times, planning my 9th & 10th trips now, but NYE at EPCOT was one of the MOST memorable nights, and absolutely the best NYE I've ever had. WOW, WHAT A PARTY!!! Even though the crowds were absolutely horrendous, I wouldn't hesistate to go again. There was so much entertainment. It was great. I hope you aren't driving your own vehicle there to the park though, it took us 2 hrs+ to get out of the parking lot, and I'm not joking or exaggerating.

The hats were like top hats, all different colors were available.

i got horns one year... we were at MK but im sure they send them out all over the parks...

i think it was like 97 or so

Hi! Just wondering since you've been there during NYE, you mentioned that there was alot of entertainment. What type of stuff did they have? Bands? This year will be our first year there, we can't wait!!!

We'll be there, too! We're gonna go in the am and "hunker" down, maybe pitch camp on a bench somewhere...just hope the girls make it to midnight!!

There are live band stages set up all over Epcot but last year it POURED so we didn't get to see much in that area. The noisemakers do get out of hand, but its NY's right! They realy have an efficient method of handing them out and the only thing I will say is that there are alot of folks around..more than you can even imagine. We will be at MGM instead this year with ps at BD, can't wait!

Yes, tons of noisemakers and hats. They have stations set up everywhere, and I didn't see anyone going without. In fact, the CMs were trying to just give the stuff away to anyone that would take it. I think we spent a half hour trying to get rid of the 50! noisemakers they gave us.

We were also at the VERY WET NYE celebration at Epcot last year. Best New Years I have never had. Boy oh boy did that place empty out. It was wall to wall people before it started to rain but by midnight it was just like a slow night in January.

One caveat: some of the activites planned were rained out (mostly music acts not under cover). But most of them went on as scheduled, though soggy.

I wish I was going back this year.....

Now I'm not sure where I want to be for NYE Epcot or MK? How late is to late to enter the parks on NYE? I was thinking being there about 5 or 6. That way I can take a nap in the afternoon.

We are staying at a WDW resort if that makes a difference.
