NYE at DHS

I have a plan for NYE and I wondering if it will work. It will be my husband, our 2 teenagers and myself. We will be staying at Grand Floridan. Our plan is to get up early and go to MK for early morning entry and be there before rope drop. I plan to leave after the Christmas parade and go back to our hotel for lunch and a nap. At about 6 pm I was going to catch a bus to DHS for our ADR at sci-fi for 8pm. We were planning on watching fireworks there as hopefully the crowds will not be as bad as MK. Would we be better going to EPCOT after dinner or going back to the hotel and watch MK's fireworks from Grand Floridan. Thanks for your help.

The far, far less difficult would be going back to the hotel and watch MK's fireworks from Grand Floridan.

It just depends on if you want the "excitement" of being with a crowd to ring in the New Year.

If you can do without that experience,a return to the GF would not be a bad choice.

We (2 adults/2 teens)had a blast last year at DHS for New Years. I don't like Epcot that night, too many drunks and the MK is awesome but stupid crowded. DHS was the perfect fit for us.
