Because I posted here earlier that I was taking a trip to NYC this week, I thought I would give you an update since I did not want you worrying.

I was not scheduled to leave until thursday so I wasn't there...Thank the Lord. We were supposed to do the World Trade Center and Statue of Liberty on Friday.

And in light of everything we have canceled our trip, and will be out about $1000. But that is nothing compared to the horrors there.


My thought and prayers are with all the families and friends of those in New York and Washington DC. I am sure we have a lot of Dissers there and want you to know we are thinking of you.

I am and always have been very Patriotic and I believe we will get whoever is responsible and they will pay. I refuse to live in fear!!!

Thank GOD Pat! I'm sorry you are out that money, but as you said, there are worse tragedies to be considered.

My mother cancelled her trip to Hawaii this Friday, and my father cancelled his trip to Africa (for a safari) this Thursday.

How frightening, Pat, to think you were planning a trip there. Thank goodness your plans were what they were. I can't help thinking about all the people who's lives will never be the same and it breaks my heart. I've said it many times today: GOD BLESS AMERICA!

This whole thing is unbelievable, that something of this magnitude could happen in our country. As you all have said GOD BLESS AMERICA. My prayers go out to all the families who were directly affected by this tragedy.

We were evacuated from our office building in Pittsburgh today also and the horror of it all is unreal. The knowledge that a 4th plane went down about 85 miles from Pittsburgh and had flown within 10 miles of the city and could have hit there is devastating. I got at least 3 phone calls from my son (who will be with us at the convention) before they told us we could leave our offices, pleading with me to leave and come home because he didn't want me in Pittsburgh with all that was going on. We were all terrified, but we have to be strong and not let these terroristic people thing they got the best of us and our strong nation. All they accomplished is to make our country stronger and they will pay for what they have done.

The only thing is now I have an enormous fear of flying when we go in November. I'm sure the security will be very tight, but the fear is still there. My DH did comfort me some by saying we would drive to Florida if we have to.

Again, my hearfelt sympathy and prayers to all who were affected by this tragedy and God Bless America and all of you.

Pat, I'm glad that you are safe! I also want to express my deepest sympathies to anyone who has lost a loved one in this terrible act of war.

My daughter and I donated blood yesterday after waiting in line for 8 hours. The other folks around me were very patient, patriotic and things moved very well. Many of us Okies feel violated in the same way we did when we had the Murray Bombing. Only then, it was a single bldg. It all seems so unbelievable!

That's how we felt at the bombing. We thought why? Who could do such a thing?
We went thru a state of shock and unbelief, which quickly turned into rage and support.

Please, let's all pray for America and her people.

Glad you hadn't gone. It is a shame you had to cancel you trip. It is the kind of thing these terorist like to do, disrupt our lives and instill fear. I hope you do decide to resched. in the future.
