NYC, Philadelphia and DC trip

I live in the Mt. Laurel area and I agree that you'll want to move from city to city and not travel from one central hub.

You mentioned March, March is cold and dreary. I would wait until late April or early May. If the weather we've been having keeps up you could find yourself knee deep in snow in March.

It sounds like March is out. But we don't have time out of school in April or May. So, summer may be our best bet. The truth be told, I want to see the historic places, but hate large cities and the crowds. That's why I was hoping for Mid March. I had hoped the crowds would be better and the weather decent.
