So tell me what happened w/ Jackie? Why did he leave? Where did he go?

So it;s just Howard, Robin, Fred and Gary?

I could have sworn that I heard a promo for Booker in the mornings, but you might be right. I only pay attention to the music during the Booker Show...all the goofy chatter in between the songs kind of blends together.

Yeah, its all background noise to me too. This is basically the only station that we get in the office, so I'm really disappointed that there will be no music soon.

I have been listening more lately.

Jackie left about 5 years ago. He demanded an outrageous increase, and KRock tried to accomodate his wishes, but his demands were just too high. So, they let him walk.

A comedian from MadTV named Artie Lange took Jackie's place. Artie is great (you may remember him as the department store Santa in the movie Elf), but he doesn't really add alot consistently to the show. There are days when I know he's there but he barely talks. Other days, he is hilarious.

Robin, Gary, and Fred are still there.

I loved hearing Jackie today. DH got Sirius a few weeks ago. I don't think he could get through the workday without Stern.

I've been sad these last few days. I've listened since he came on in Los Angeles. I missed quite a few classes when I was in college. They were so damn funny, I couldn't pull myself away from my walkman! Hopefully when we pay off our credit card, I'll be able to convince dh to get satelite radio! I'll miss Howard and the gang. It was great to hear from Jackie today, but I'm so happy to have Artie on. He's funny!

I love Artie! I'll miss the live show tomorrow but will have my radio and computer on! I'll miss everyone. Of course, our new car has XM!!! It's killing me......

I've been listening to Howard ever since I was old enough to drive my car by myself because my parents wouldn't let me listen with them in the car even though my Dad is the one that got me hooked!

I actually have the day off tomorrow as does the BF. He wants to go but I don't know if I want to wake up that early on a day off!

Plus it is going to be C-O-L-D....and if the transit strike happens....it will be a real mess! (I think Iheard that if the transit strike happens, the city is cancelling the Stern festivities)

did anyone hear the actual emotion today in Howard's voice when he was talking to his agent (I think his name is Art Buchwald...???) He seemed very sincere and moved by what his agent has done for him over the years.

I got sirius radio last year for xmas.. Looks like its time to hook it up!!

Wish I was going to see Howard tomorrow.. im not that far away,, I just dont feel lilke dealing with the crowds...
