I live here in NYC and here are my favorites.....
Sveningson's---Seafood. Owner and chrf is the son of a lobsterman from Maine. EXCELLENT seafood at reasonable prices. He flies in fresh lobster from Maine daily. M-S, 12-9 reservations accepted. Restaurant is located at 5th Ave. and 30th St., just a short walk down from the Empire State Building.
Langans--Irish pub with a great restaurant in the rear. $24.95 3 course prix fixe menu as well as ala carte. Located on 46th off of Broadway. A great restaurant in the theater district without theater district prices.
Ollies Noodle Shop--Chinese--several locations all over the city. My favorite is 68th and Broadway, just north of Lincoln Center. Wonderful chinese food at reasonable prices
Sazerac House--American/Cajun--One of the oldest restaurants in the city. Great food at good prices. Located on Hudson St. at Perry in the West Village.
There are SO many others and all those recommended in the above posts are also great. There is truly something for everyone here in NYC!
