NY DISSERS - WoD opening soon!

Hey all,

I just walked by the new World of Disney store on 5th Avenue and I was informed that the store will open October 4th.

Im excited! Might be able to give me the fix until my next WDW trip.

Can't wait! I'm hoping to find some of the things I was too practical to carry home last time we were at WDW.

It seems like just yesterday the entire top floor gallery was wiped out and replaced with a bunch of beds!

Apparently they are different. I am not sure exactly how, but they are. I am just excited because the WoD is my favorite store in Downtown Disney!

The Cinderella royal court seems to be great for little girls! But $80 is a little high don't you think?

I walked past the WoD on my way to the office this morning and one of the side doors was open so I got a quick peak inside...I could only see in so far (I don't think it was a door that would be used by the public once it opens) but I could see some of the shelves already had merchandise on them. From what I could see it didn't look like there was much work left to be done!

I looked through the front door - I agree - it looked like there was not much work to be done.

I can not wait for it to open. The first floor looked almost the same from what I saw, but I did not see much!

My son's 13 birthday is October 5. He was really into pin trading on our last trip so I was thinking of getting him bunch of pins for his birthday. I was going to order them on line, but now I don't have to.

Thats what happens when you work down by the Village. You cant enjoy what 5th avenue has to offer! We will visit though - it will be the fix I need until I book my Poly trip for next summer. =)

Cool. I wonder if there will be "soft" openings in the days before. I was hoping they'd open before my trip so I could get park hoppers but ended up getting them off the website.

I'm looking forward to it. Boy the old store had really turned into an embarrassment near the end.

(on edit) Boy that $80 does seem steep for the Princess thing. I guess I'm not really understanding what in the event warrants that price.
