UUUGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I booked my flight last week on NWA and paid $30 bucks more a ticket so that we could get a specfic flight time. $150 for five tickets!!! We really wanted the 10:00am flight so that we wouldn't have to be at the airpot at the crack of dawn. We would have gotten to MCO at 1:45 which would give us a good portion of the day at the park. Then today I got an e-mail from NWA stating that our flight time has changed from 10:15 am to 8:50 am. Now I know its only an hour and twenty-five minutes earlier but still. Instead of waking up at my regular time and taking my time getting ready, not to mention getting every one else ready, I will be rushing around so we can be at the airport at 7 am. I am not the type of person who does anything at 7 am!!! I guess it's not really a big deal, but still......I hate to have my plans changed, especially something like this. Oh well, at least I get to go to WDW, right???? Only 19 weeks and 5 days!!!! Thanks for letting me vent.

if there are still 5 months before your trip, chances are that you will experience another schedule change before then

I'm so frustrated on your behalf!! I get so mad when I read about my poor fellow DISers getting jerked around by the airlines like this. Honestly, I don't even know how this is allowed. You paid extra for certain times!! Why even have the time on the reservation if they're going to change it on you?? GAH!

My flight just got bumped back and hour with NW. From 6:44 to 7:30 am. I personally like the early flights and will be upset if they bump me back again more than another hour. However, I understand your pain. When you have a time you want to go, that is the time you want to go!

My NWA flight in Aug. was changed the other day to add a stop in Detroit from Minneapolis to Orlando. My husband called the airline and we got on a different nonstop earlier in the day -- which will be fine because we'll get to spend more time at WDW.

I LOVE everything about mine...the price...it's NONstop and the timing....it's 5 months away....UGH.

Will they notify you or what??

I will be upset if it changes by more than an hour and if it dare go from NS to not...that would be crazy. I wouldn't have booked a non NS...

We had this happen on our upcoming flight. I'd booked the flight through 2 different places (frequent flyer miles for 1 ticket, paid for others) Only the paid place contacted me to tell me there had been a change. What they didn't tell me was that all the seats had been changed too. Our party of 8 was scattered from the front of the plane to the back. It took several e-mails to fix it.
My suggestion is to check on-line every so often to see that your flight AND seats are still what you reserved.
Good luck!

Flight time changes are inevitable. If you book far in advance, you will have a flight time change. I have had EVERY flight change I have ever booked. It is all part of the game.

Keep in mind that paying a higher price doesn't mean that you are getting a better flight, it just means that the fare structure for that flight is only offering you those prices. Probably means more tickets were already sold on that flight when you purchased.

So many factors come in to play when they change flight times. Many more than any of us would understand. Make the best of it instead of getting all worked up! Heck, it is a lot better than them moving your flight back 3 hours.

I personally love the early flights. We are flying to Disneyland at 645 am.....

Our outbound NWA flight for Thanksgiving last year(booked in late June) changed 3x before we left. It was originally 10:15 am ish, then went to 7:45am ish, then I think it finally was about 9:30am ish when we finally left. I think it settled down to the last one in Sept.

Guess that's what happens when you book that far out. I know NWA for this fall got rid of the 10:15 DTW-MCO flight and replaced it with a noon departure. I have been watching for awhile now for Turkey day 2007

NWA added a 2nd stop in Indianapolis for our upcoming trip in October (previously we had one stop over in Minneapolis) which means we would now be arriving in Orlando an hour later than we had originally planned. So far they haven't changed our return flight, but we wouldn't be surprised if that gets changed too.

We've already contact the car rental agency to let them know of the change in our arrival time for our reservation.

Really it's not a big deal - so we get to Orlando an hour later. We're still happy to be going!

I booked the end of Jan. for our May 31st trip and the next week they changed our take off time to 6:40 a.m from 7 something. Approximately a half hour, but what I didn't like about it was they also had us getting at MCO a half hour later than originally planned. We're landing around noon. I just hope they don't make us any later than that.

Well they did it again...now we've gone from a single stopover in Minneapolis to connections in Minneapolis, Indianapolis, then Detroit. We’d now be landing at about 10:00 pm instead of the 4:30 pm when we booked. :headache:

The bottom line is we can keep the early flight with the three stopovers and leave at 8:00 am and arrive at 10:00 pm or we can change to take the later flight with the single stopover and leave at 2:00 pm and arrive at 10:30 pm. Pretty much a no-brainer…we’ve already called and changed to the later flight. They were really good about it and made sure we kept our free 1st Class upgrade.

Thats terrible. I hope they don't change ours again. Did you get an email from them or did you check your reservation on the nwa website?

They sent us the email notification both times they changed it.

We still keep checking the website anyways just in case since last year when they changed our flight times and didn't let us know. We only found out by checking the website every so often.

Thank You! I guess I better start checking the website since we leave in 19 days.

If you're only 19 days from going you're probably ok...we've been using them for quite some time and every change we've ever had from them has been at least a few months before our travel date. We're flying with them to Orlando on Wednesday and that flight is still the same as when we booked it. *knock wood*

They can't be serious to think someone is going to connect 3 times. What are the odds all 3 will be on time? All you need is one to be late and you'll never get there.

Glad you got it changed.

Just booked Continental last week and they have change both flights since(Octobor trip). Now what burns me up is I paid more for the times I wanted to travel. So not only did I lose money on my flight I will have to drive to the airpot twice. We bought the tickets early, worried about airfare prices due to the price of fuel going up.:scared1: Thats it I'm done :headache: :headache:  :scared: :rolleyes1 :furious: :tinker: :rolleyes1 :grouphug: Thanks I feel better now.
