Afternoon all!! I'm hoping one of the Podcasters, or someone else with experience, can help me. In two recent podcasts it was mentioned that you can request nutritional information at (I believe) CS and TS restaurants. Is there any way to access that information ahead of time?

DH and I are thinking about coming back to the World this fall and I have some dietary limitations that weren't a problem the last time we came.

And if you really need to know, I have IBS and have to restrict my fat intake to about 7-9 grams per meal. Thanks!!

This is what I found on the Disney website:

Can nutritional information be provided for menu items?

We are not able to provide you with accurate or reliable nutritional information. However, we are happy to attempt to work within your dietary requests and may suggest some menu alternatives that may satisfy your requests. We try to provide all our Guests with an excellent experience by offering a wide array of dining locations, experiences and menu options. We hope that among all those selections you will find food items that meet your requests.

Yeah, Pete recently said the restaurants were able to give you all that information. Unfortunately I think you just aren't going to be able to access it in advance. Hopefully you can make your schedule flexible to allow for a little research time once you arrive. Good luck!

I want to caution you, or anyone, about taking the nutritional information any restaurant gives you as gospel. There have been a lot of studies that showed the nutritional information restaurants give you is quite inaccurate. There are a lot of reasons for this. First, the information is based on the recommended recipe and ingredients but many chefs make little alterations here or there that will change what is in the dish. Another is portion size. The portion size that the information is based on can be quite different then the portion you actually get. Often times nutritional information is determined before any side or topping is factored in. This means that the caloric count of that dish many not include the heavy sauce that is on it or the side that it comes with.

That doesn't mean that the information is useless of course, but use it as a guide to making better choices as opposed to a 100% accurate journal of what you have eaten.

FireDancer is absolutely correct. A recent study (http://www.nydailynews.com/lifestyl..._packaged_foods_are_often_inaccurate_stu.html) has shown that real calorie counts versus restaurant claims can be rather inaccurate. That said, I would love for Disney to provide some calorie info online!
