Nutritional content posted on boxes in Ireland?

Greetings UK Disers!

Thought you might be able to help with a rather odd and non-Disney question.

We will be traveling to Ireland this summer with DH's cousin and her family. Their daughter is diabetic thus has to really pay attention to her carbohydrate intake.

My question is what nutritional info is posted on prepared foods in Ireland- things that you would by at a store- does it list the carbohydrate content? In the US it is required by law to list things as calories, fat content, carbohydrates, protein etc. Do you have similar regulations? Naturally some metric conversion will be needed but that is the easy part of the carb content is listed!

I don't know for sure but I'm almost positive it's an EU regulation that this information is availble!

It's certainly on 99% of packaging in the UK - but not sure about in Ireland!
