So, I posted a thread a few days ago about how to best address the fact that dd's school is now nut free (and healthy foods only). So thanks to everyone's advice, we went to the Mustard Seed Market today and found the following:

Sunbutter

Trail Mix ingredients- Most of the mixes had nuts in them, but i bought the ingredients separately to make a mix with dried cranberries, dried blueberries, dried apples, and non-peanut oil processed sunflower seeds. Please tell me if I overlooked something with nuts in it?

Eggs- For hard boiled eggs

Whole Wheat Pita and Hummus

Whole Wheat Wraps (to make pinwheels)

Apples

Spelt Pretzels

I'm off to our regular supermarket for plain old WW bread, veggies, cheese, yogurt, lunch meat, etc.

P.S. This was harder than I thought because of the peanut oil factor. What about granola? What is granola exactly? I mean, I know what granola is...we eat it all the time. But what is actually in most granola? Is it nuts?

What about oats?

Thanks!

Just an FYI -- some granola can have nuts. I eat one for breakfast that has slivered almonds. You may just want to double check the ingrediant list...

My sons school is the same:

What I got for him as a "protein" boost to his day are these things called YoGo bits. They are like fruit chews but encased in Yogurt. Or they have YoGo Rollers (looks like Fruit by the Foot) but again fruit and yogurt.

We also go in for raisins, Chiquita Bananas has presliced apples in a package (and they don't brown!), or just plain old Apl and Strawberry Chips!

We do the Sunbutter too but my DS started to complain. I am trying to get him hooked on Turkey meat so I can send that with him, or Soy Butter.

Goldfish are also a great Nutritional snack, and Bananas!

I was going to suggest the Soy Butter
also, I love it and eat it all the time.
I like it better than PB.

Are they the Kellog's ones that are in the fruit snack aisle? Because my box label shows zero protein (a 23g pouch has 15g of sugar and 1.5g of fat).
