Our sons are both allergic to tree nuts and peanuts. I know how awesome WDW is with allergies. They had the pre-made chocolate mickey rice krispey heads last year and loved them. My question is: Do the workers at Goofy's Candy Company take precaution about allergies when making the made to order pretzels or marshmallow desserts? My boys would love the pretzels or marshmallows dipped in chocolate and sprinkles, but I worry about cross contamination issues. The chefs at Chef Mickeys bring out candys from the back so that the boys can make their own sundae. Has anyone ever had any luck at Goofy's with allergies?

I would not think that they will be able to accomidate you. The toppings are in bins right next to each other. There is no way to guarentee that the peanuts won't fall off into the other toppings. Maybe if you call ahead they could make you a treat in the back and have it ready for you?

Hi
I would love to know the answer too. When are you going? You can get the phone number from Disney Dining and call them. My kids cannot eat gluten and I just called to find out ingredients on the candy that they sell and they said they couldn't email me anything. I would have to check packaging when I arrive. Maybe they would do a separate thing in the back too. My kids would have a tough time with that as well. Good luck!

After many reading tons of labels..we finally read on the Mickey coconut ears box that is was nut free ( staff did not even have this info ).Please double check it has been almost a year.. EDIT ..oops..just realized this post was not about the store..sorry

There is almost nothing at Goofy's that is totally nut safe. Almost everything has a cross contamination warning. I was told by the staff that I should only purchase prepackaged items. The only thing prepackaged things I found without a nut warning was called Fruit Gems (they are like big skittles) and have the 7 dwarves on the package and the mickey mints in tins. Personally I wouldn't bring allergic kids in there at all because it's very disappointing (even to an adult) not get to to taste anything.

I have the same problem with tree nuts but can do the Peanuts . They will tell you not to eat anything made on site because of the cross contamination . I only saw peanuts on in the toppings trays so I did it and had no problems but had I seen a peacan I woulod have not been so willign to risk it . Because they roll everything from little vat to vat depending on what the person before you ordered your children would be at GREAT risk of getting traces of peanuts .

Good luck . They are very good about allergies though at the resturants . I ate at Ohana and they asked and I told them I couldnt eat tree nuts. They sent the Chef out to speak with me, I thought that was great . All her did was explain to me there was nothing that would put me at risk . I felt like anyone could have told me that but they sent the Chef. They also did the same thing at WCC
