especially for a toddler. my youngest will be 2yo and I doubt that she will be weaned by the time we go(at least not the rate she is going, :lmao: ) she loves her boo-boos. I have drastically decreased our NIP since she turned 18m, but I doubt she can go all day without nursing.

You can nurse anywhere at Disney. There are baby care centers in each park, but it isn't always convenient to be near one when baby wants what she wants! Dark rides like Small World and Pirates might work well for you, too. Depends on what she requires when she nurses - dark and quiet, or can she do it with distractions? And is she a popper-and-looker (flashing you) or is she discreet?

I nursed my little guy all over the place on Disney trips at 2 and 2 1/2. No one even noticed or batted an eye. I'd just do it any place you feel comfortable. It's a long hike back to the Baby Care Centers. There are lots of nice benches and quiet places that are great for nursing toddlers.

By the way, my big boy finally self-weaned about 3 months after his 3rd birthday - so it does happen eventually! :woohoo:

Any of the 3D movies (try to get a seat that is not interactive). Shady areas.

Do a search for nursing on the family board and a bunch of threads will pop up! There was a long toddler nursing thread a few months ago that needs to be bumped up too!

thats great to hear of other toddlers NIP at Disney. She is not an easily distracted nurser when she means business:laughing: Now when she wants just a sip here and there its a different story. I will do a search for nursing here on this board :)

No problem!! My DS2 will be 23 months when we go in July and I am anticipating nursing him round the world too! I needed the refresher course.

My little guy was only 6 weeks at my last trip, but I nursed him everywhere. I mean, even at the table at a restaurant. It takes moms like us to make other moms more comfortable!

I found a great little spot just through the castle in Fantasy Land near a gift shop. nice and shady with little distractions.

My DD's last trip nursing was when she was 18.5 months old. Your lucky your's isn't distractable. Mine was, so we needed a quieter place to take care of business. No way was she going to nurse on the rides or at the shows at that point. I think I tried to nurse her at the American Experience show and she was even interested in watching that.

She wasn't nursing a ton at that point. Morning, night, and a couple of times during the day. However, at WDW she definitely nursed more than at home. I used the Baby Care Centers a fair amount because they were quiet and dark which was good if I was trying to get her to take a nap. We are into park hopping, so one of the best places for us to nurse was the Friendship boats from MGM to Epcot. It's about a 20 or 30 minute ride, so she had plenty of time without me needing to move. I would think the monorail ride from the TTC to Epcot would be another nice place to nurse. It's air conditioned. I was always able to find some quiet benches in the World Showcase to sit down at.

My DD had three trips to WDW while she was nursing (she nursed for 22 months), two of which when she was a toddler. I agree with GEM that nobody really bats an eye at it. You will probably experience far more criticism here (see the nursing toddler thread that was bumped up today) than at the parks. I talked with several moms of infants in the nursing rooms about nursing a toddler on our trip when she was 18.5 months old and they seemed genuinely interested in the subject (questions like how many times a day does a toddler nurse, etc.). They did not give me the feeling that they thought it was strange or anything.

Just got back on Monday. I nursed my DD3mos everywhere, even walking around with a pretty large blanket. I tucked it into my pants if I was walking around so I wouldn't show my flabby stomach. I nursed her in the PoC line and walking around the park. I nursed in restaurants and really everywhere. If that weren't enough--I even nursed on the safari at AK, bumpiness and all. LOL. I thought that was pretty amazing and really funny. My husband was amazed, as was the other couple we were with. She was hungry and needed to eat. Gotta do what you have to do. IMHO you should/can nurse anywhere YOU feel comfortable. No one even realized I was nursing--and if they did they didn't even give me a second glance. I do recommend a blanket if your little one will go under it as it makes others feel more comfortable, especially at the dinner table.
