Number of Points Needed?

If I were to rent a week's worth of points, when would the rental period begin? Would it be Sunday to Sunday? Also, if I wanted to rent additional points for a couple of extra weeknight days, would I just need to factor in those extra points in determining how many points I need to request?

Having points over a Friday and Saturday night stays typically cost you twice the points. You will use less points if your stay is Sunday departing Friday. Depending on which resort, type of accommodations, and time of year the points will vary. The check in day and check out day can be different. The points are calculated by the specific day of the week and like I said resort, accommodations and time of the year

Thanks Ed. I know about the increased point values for the Friday/Saturday night stay. I guess my question is when I look at the points chart, it lists an amount for a weekly rental. I just want to know if I'm confined to a Sunday to Sunday schedule. From your reply it sounds like I could do the week anytime. Thanks again.

Yes, you can start your week any day you like (assuming there is availability). You are not locked into Sunday - Sunday or Saturday - Saturday or any other particular day to start your vacation..

If you are not a member, then points are totally worthless to you. You will be renting a reservation from a member and not purchasing points. The member controls the reservation from the moment it is made until the moment you check in.

A week's points covers 7 days in a week, doesn't matter what seven days in a row. But you have to watch that you don't overlap another season, because the points will go up or down depending on the season. It's not like a CRO reservation where your price is dependent upon the season your first day falls in.
