What are the waits like during morning EMH for the Avatar attractions?

Depends how early you can get there to beat the crowd. I'd anticipate a 5-50 min wait for FoP and a 5-20 min wait for River journey

Would it be at all feasible to rope drop FOP at AK EMH and still make it to Epcot rope drop by 9? (Assuming I get to AK an hour earlier than EMH opening at 8.)

We were there last week and went on FOP twice during EMH. Got to the park on the first bus was near the front around 7:15 they let us in at 7:30. The first time they walked us to the entrance to Pandora and held us there for awhile. The next time they walked us to the entrance of the ride. Just to let you know the line whittles down to single file. I don't remember which time we got off the ride but one time it was 8:10. Just be advised that the buses to the other parks may not start that early so you may want to go back to your hotel and get the Epcot bus. Don't really think you will make it by 9 either way.

I thought I might Uber or drive. But I agree, I figured it would be pretty much impossible to get to Epcot by 9.

I’ll probably stick to my plan and rope drop FOP on regular opening on Sunday. That way I can have a somewhat leisurely Epcot RD.
