We have a DVD player and the sound has suddenly gone really, really feint. We have tried a DVD cleaner and have tried a gold-played scart lead, but it doesn't make any difference.

Does anyone know what the problem could be and whether it would cost a lot to fix?

Oooerrr !

I just typed "dvd sound problem" into Google and got 530,000 hits... this sounds like a common problem.

I'm no expert at all, but I believe there might be a couple of competing formats on the market at the moment. Does the problem occur whichever DVD you have in.

Hope someone more helpful than me calls by to help.

Terry

Its happened to me a few times but was always a loose scart lead
