Now you can take your time shopping for disney clearance items... make it a point once a week to hit a
disney store or target or
walmart for bargains.
I also love to read trip reports from that same time of year (the year before obviously)... gives you a great feel for weather and crowds. Also, trip reports for our resort.
Countdown chain or calendar?
For an information sheet to take on my trip, I make 1 piece of paper w/ all my info on it. On the computer, I make a calendar-style schedule for our days there and travelling days (as if you cut out those days from your kitchen calendar). I make the boxes extra large and for each day, I put in our adr's, which parks which days, flight into, confirmation #'s, etc. For me, looking at our entire trip at-a-glance helps keep me better organized. I also put in each day's box which park has EMH for morning and evening for each day... in case our plans change during the trip, it's easy to know then which park to avoid or go to for that particular day. I also put each parks hours for each day (if they're the same throughout the trip, I put this info up top of the paper, but sometimes parks close early for private events, etc), so I'd want to know that if changing plans mid-trip. Also, parade times and fireworks time for all parks each day. All the info that doesn't really change (park times, EMH, etc), I use the computer to put in. Then I print a few copies and in pen I fiddle w/ different schedules and ideas for the trip. I always have a copy w/ me in my pocketbook - to take up time when i'm waiting for the kids, etc. Even if I stick w/ my original schedule in the end, it's fun to try different ideas for different days. I also write on the bottom of the paper things to not forget to do or see for the trip.
Print out or decorate tip envelopes and put the tip money in as you get singles.
Keep everything you're accumulating for the trip together in a 'disney box'.
Enjoy!!
