Well, feeling a little flush, I treated myself to a Canon Digital SLR EOS350D.
Ive never had an SLR before, and don't know the first thing about photography, but now I have the camera, I have realised I have no idea what to do with it, and also I have zero imagination when it comes to taking photographs. I also cant do a thing with it until the memory card I ordered arrives (I have loads of cards, but no compact flash).
Stupid impulse buy.

Just think of all the fun you will have learning how it works.

Sometimes impulse buys turn out to be the best buys:thumbsup2

My DH has a Nikon SLR and for christmas I bought him a days course learning how to use it at Nikon's HQ. Have a look on the Canon website and see if they do anything similar. He had a great time and learnt loads, also join the newsletter if there is one as the Nikon one sends out tips sometimes. Most of all just play and have fun!

There is only one way to learn how to use the camera and all it's functions and that is to take lots of photos - that's the beauty of digital photography, you can take as many pictures as you like and just delete the bad ones :)
