I am curious what your most recent cruise cost you? and what it is going for now. If you do not want to share the actual amount you paid, what is the difference in price for the same itinerary, same dates? And when did you last sail?

Our 2015 WBPC was just shy of $4,200 for 2a1c in a 9B. The 2017 sailing is sold out and in 2018 it is $6,955 for the same exact room. That is a $2,755 increase in 3 years.

Our Category 9 Verandah room on the 2017 WBPC trip ended up being around $6,600 or so.

You might want to ask people to specify the number of passengers for the price.

Well our first cruise back in 2002 on a 7 night Eastern Carribbean on The Magic room #7592 ( I believe this is a 5A category) which was a balcony room, was $700 apiece for me and my husband and I think the kids who were 14 & 10 at the time were about $350ish each. so about $2100 total for the 4 of us.

Our upcoming 7 night Southern Caribbean with an OBB discount for 7A secret Verandah room was $1600 each for 2 adults. This is a somewhat cheaper category, then the other, but there's a big difference.

For the week before Christmas, four people, verandah cabin on the Disney Fantasy for a week--we just paid a hair over $7000.

Same thing next year was going to be just over $10,000.

No thanks! We can technically afford it just fine, but that percent price increase in one year seems insane.

Not sure of the exact numbers, but in 2016 we did a 4 and 5 night B2B on the magic with three adults, our DD is now an adult:), that was cheaper than a 3 and 3 night B2B on the magic in 2017. Both were out of Miami at approximately the same dates, no holidays in the second trip, and the ports were the same with the exception that the 6 night combo had one less port than the 9 night trip.

That was our point we said now way, now mom and dad will be trying something else, DD wasn't ready to try something other than DCL yet, but agreed with our decision based on the financials.

- We booked a VGT for the 10/15/16 Western on the Fantasy and paid $2978 for 2 adults (ended up getting a 4a on deck 9!). Same room cat/deck on 10/14/2017 with no VGT is $4213.

- Booked a military rate for a verandah on the Wonder for a solo 3 night for 02/02/2017 for $896 and the same room/deck cat is going for ~$1500 right now regular price.

I LOVE deals!
