I just sent this to Will, but I thought I would post it here too.

So when I got to work on Monday here at SUNY/Geneseo, I saw tents set up in the quad in the snow. Turns out some students are camping out all week 24 hours/day to raise money for cancer research. It is the coldest week of the winter so far - Monday was just bone chilling cold, and we're having a winter storm today with 8-10 inches of snow expected.

A little different than Ft. Wilderness, eh?

From the Geneseo Encompass:

Freezin' for a reason

The brothers of the Alpha Chi Rho fraternity, better known on campus as the "Crows," have pitched tents and are bundled up, camping outside in the Sturges Quad to raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society during their 8th annual Deep Freeze on Cancer.

The Crows kicked off the fundraiser last Sunday. They take shifts bearing the cold for 24 hours a day until Friday, Jan. 30 to raise money for cancer research. Temperatures this week are low — 14 degrees on Tuesday — and there's snow piling up today, but the brothers' spirits are high.
