Our local news station has this really annoying habit of going WAY out of their way to tie people to Idaho.

So many times they say things " Mr Jones who was killed in the bombing had ties to Idaho, His Grandmother told NewsChannel 7 that he went to elementary school in the Gem State"



ok Idaho isnt that small of a State, if he went to elementary school SOMWHERE in Idaho theres a CHANCE he might be remembered by someone but its pretty small.

I hope nothing happens to me or the news will be splatterred all over the continent that I stayed in the State.

Yes, and it's totally annoying. They all do it. I think they believe if they mention something of local interest that their listeners will perk up and pay more attention to a non-story. What they don't realize is that we're not a bunch of idiots who fall for their stunts. When they pull that kind of stuff I vote with my fingers and press my remote.

The news people here do the very same thing, and it's usually some very obscure tie to MI. Like 'his uncle's girlfriend's sister went to elementary school here'.
