Our next door neighbor just called us from Home Depot. He said "I can't take it anymore. I'm buying a snowblower if I can find a place to keep it. If you'll store it (he has no garage), you can use it whenever you want." Sounds like a deal to me. He's on his way over to deliver it now!

That's great! Just be clear on what happens if it breaks...I'm sure if you broke it you'd pay to replace, but is that a cost you are willing to make.

I try to never borrow anything I can't afford (or do not want to) replace.

We were lucky today on the S. Jersey coast, it all melted already!

Lucky they even had one to buy. I was there today looking for a roof snow rake. No shovels. No snowblowers. No roof rakes. All sold out.

Even better - he bought the extended warrenty coverage that was available. Said he didn't want to have to worry about it!

It's funny you say that. He told us that the salesman told him to stand there with his hands on it while he got the paperwork ready. He said that it was the last one and that they had sold 12 in the hour prior to that.

My elderly FIL had worked a situation kinda like that.....he bought a snow blower one year, but still had some issues clearing away the snow. A younger neighbor told him he would snowblow his sidewalks and driveway everytime it snowed if my FIL would let him use the snowblower on his own property too. It worked out well for them both, when FIL moved, he gave the snowblower to the neighbor.
