would you do it again? I know it's a great value if you use it right. This is another question I have: Did you get everything you wanted with the one night premium plan as you expected?

Like many I could never afford to stay on the premium plan for our whole stay, but this little loophole is sure intriguing. I like the fact that you have two days to use the plan in reality. I probably won't be able to do it for a couple of years, but I sure hope to do it.

Bete - can you explain the advantage to doing this? I remember a few years back looking but thinking it was REALLY expensive and did it just include tours?

that explains all of this better than me. It contains about 750 posts. Read that thread and you'll see what there is for doing it. There are two tiers and one is more expensive than the other.

Basically, what people are starting to do is take the high premium plus plan to enjoy all the perks for a night and then some. When you sign up for one night you get the next day included; so, if you arrive early on your first day you are getting two days of perks by paying for one in essence; because, the day you go off the premium plan (your second day) you still have until midnight to enjoy the perks of the premium plan.

When you take the highest premium plus plan it includes dining at Victoria and Albert's which is a big draw for that plan. It's a 5 star restaurant and it costs a fortune to do it out of pocket and it's not on any other dining plan. You can go to La Nouba which is another great draw. There's a photo CD that's included, too. There's a brochure by Disney that explains what goes with each premium plan.

You can golf, do tours, water sports and more being on the premium plan.

If you don't do the parks for this time period you can really pack in the perks across the two days. If you figure what you would pay out of pocket for these extras you would die; so, the plan for a day's cost is really worth it if you use it to your advantage.

I'm just curious for those who have done it if they would do it again. You really have to be in commando style vacationing when you do the plan. I think that can be somewhat stressful to a degree.

Speaking as one who has done the one night premium plan I will definitely plan on doing it again. It does take some planning beforehand to make it work, and you will have to have a vehicle available to best take advantage of all that is offered. We did find it to be the biggest "bang for the buck" value that we have ever had on all our trips to Disney. Read the long thread on the in this board to get the details of all that individuals have planned or done. It in amazing !

We did the Platinum for one night and we love it! There's a lot of planning involved, but it was all so worthy. We are already planning a 2-night platinum trip for May of 2011. This time we are going to eat at V&A twice(1@dining room;1@chef's table):woohoo:

I didn't realize the chef's table is included in the plan; is that right?

No, it's not, but we are going to upgrade one dinner to Chef's Table($200) The Platinum plan only includes the dining room regular menu($125) So for $75 extra, we think it is much better than paying for any upgrades(like the wagyu or kobe($80/$35) on the regular dining room menu.

We have also done both the premium and the platinum plans for one night on each of our last two vacations and will definitely do it again. As of now, we are planning on doing the platinum plan for 2 nights next July. We thought it was well worth the expense and planning involved!!!

i never heard of either of these two plans, does anyone have a link to their cost and what they entail?

Just pretend to book a night at WDW without any discount, pick the Premium Plan (any resort) or the Platimum Plan (deluxe only) and click on the link to see all included items. (there is a big list) They are in the dining choices.

Back in July I did the Premium Plan with Disney73 and another friend as a 'girls only' getaway and we had a blast - despite the heat! We are already planning next summer and this time we want to try the Platinum! Lots of running (having a car was definitely a plus) and it is probably best enjoyed by those who have been to Disney quite a few times and know their way around well. The experiences were fantastic and we did things we would never have done otherwise. Can't wait for next summer and the Platinum Plan! I wholeheartedly recommend the Premium and I think we'll feel the same way about Platinum!!!

Me 2! I am guessing that we are hooked together, :rotfl:

Last time we did the one night Platinum(August), next summer(deciding whether to go in May or July) we are doing 2 nights Platinum. :woohoo:

We did the 1-night premium plan in July and loved it! We did not have a car -- used only Disney transportation -- and we were able to do all the things I scheduled. If we had rented a car we probably could have fit in maybe 1 or two more activities, but I felt like we packed in plenty already. I highly recommend it to experienced Disney-goers. I am planning on trying the one night platinum plan with my fiance in november.

Here are all of the things we did on our 1 night premium plan:

Epcot Segway tour
lunch at coral reef
Parasailing
La Nouba
dinner at Fulton's
Keys to the Kingdom tour
personal watercraft
more parasailing
portrait session
dinner at California grill

This is what we are planning on doing on the platinum plan:
Dolphins in Depth
Aqua Seas
Epcot Segway tour
personal watercraft
parasailing
Massages
fireworks cruise
La Nouba
Portrait session
dinner at Victoria and Albert's
dinner at California Grill
lunch at Coral Reef
+ photo pass cd

I have never even HEARD of this! I'm embarrassed to call myself a Diser! :rolleyes1

How many of the things can you do in a 24 hour period??

Actually you get 2 days' activities with one night of Premium/Platinum Plan. Let's say if you check in bright and early at 6:00am on day 1, you can start your tee time at 6:30am...how wonderful!!:woohoo: On day 2(check out day) you are still covered by this plan until 11:59pm.

oh my gosh! is it a per person charge? and you get to do as many activities as you can in the XX hour period?

where's the thread on this?? thanks!

Premium or Platinum plan for just one night threadhttp://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2404255

We are doing this in Feb. Eating at V&A twice based on the number of reviews that said they wished they had done this. Just DH and I for our anniversary.

I am already planning doing it again with the kids. We'll do Platinum with them as well, do V&A as a family and then split up the 2nd night. I think. Going Platinum because my daughter is under 16 and so the Aqua Seas and Dolphins in Depth tours are really the only ones she both can do and would be interested in. I am excited, can you tell?
