Okay, I am leaving in 3 days and really want to ride Soarin. We are AP and DVC members and we missed the previews by only 4 days and we leave WDW on May 1st so we will miss the opeing by 4 days. I am really hoping they do soft openings before the actual openings so if anyone rides it over the next couple of days please post and give me some hope. Also, if you could let me know if it was one of those secret CM's telling you to come ride it or if it seemed just open to anyone.

Soaring is an awsome ride. I really hope they do some more soft opening while you are there and you get a chance to ride it.

Hi Terry. It's too bad you missed the previews this past weekend. From what I understand, they may do soft openings but you never know when/if that's going to happen. A friend of mine who used to work attractions told me, they sometimes open the ride the week before just to test the CM's and make adjustments. BUT, that's really hit and miss so no one ever knows. If I see anything this week, I'll definately post it. :)

Thank you both! Metro West, if you hear anything, please post!

crossing my fingers for you rode it in disneyland in january is a great ride. good luck. :flower: :flower:

Crossing my fingers and toes... we'll be there on 5/1 to break in new AP's... if its not open then, I might just HAVE to go back the following weekend... and every weekend til its open!!!

Thanks again everyone! Someone just posted that they were able to ride it twice today! Woo Hoo! Please, please, please good fairies listen to my plee and let the soft openings continue!

This is great news...I will be headed to EPCOT on our arrival afternoon in hopes of catching a preview on April 24th or anytime during the week that I am there. Heck, if I miss it, it will only give me an excuse to go back ;) I am guessing they will keep running the attraction in a preview manner in order to make absolutely sure the CM's are working efficiently and everything else is running tip top for the grand opening.

I have a question about the ride, too. To DH's absolute delight, DS3 has sprouted up an inch or so in the last month, bring him to 40 inches with sandals/shoes. My question is twofold about the seatbelt: Is it adjustable enough to safely strap in a little guy? And generous enough for his short and rather round Mom? I generally panic about being mortified on these rides with little problem, but I wanted to ask so I could stop mulling over it for the next 2 1/2 weeks...

Thanks in advance

I wouldn't worry about a thing. :flower: My youngest is just 40" right now & rode it with no problems (they have a little strap thing you'll have to thread the seatbelt through, but there should be no problem for him). As for you--I'm a bit Pooh-sized, and I had no problems myself either. You'll be fine. :teeth:
