1) There are no shows planned for the Horseshoe.
2) These were canceled years ago to save labor costs.
3) They now use it for
. . . some character met-and-greets
. . . overflow CS dining during peak periods
We took our boys in 1989 and had sandwiches and chips while we watched the show. It was fun and the kids loved it. I was surprised when it was cancelled because when we there, it was packed and it was a good show.

I know all of this, but was inquiring simply because they have opened this restaurant to specific dates and I was curious as to if the show would return during this time as well. My apologies for such a posting such a ridiculous question.
The show is probably not returning. It was ended years ago. I know of a CM who worked in that show and is now working in another show at WDW. So it's most likely they are using the venue as an overflow location to accommodate everyone trying to score TS meals at MK (of which there are comparatively few) during the free dining promotion period.
The wdwinfo writeup says the Diamond Horseshoe dinner will be family style, not a buffet.
The Diamond Horseshoe had a character show for awhile and I think that was moved to outdoors.
