Hotels in Vancouver and w car service . I checked with our travel agent about the hotel Disney uses. The one she mentioned. Is over 300 for the night . Plus the transfer with Disney. So I'm looking for recommendations for nice reasonable prices hotels probably near the port also a car service to and from airport hotel and port thanks so much

We stayed here, it's above the cruise terminal, with a facility to take luggage to the ship.

Pan Pacific has its own car service, but is also on the subway from the airport.

Canada Line YVR ( Rapid Transit) to Pan Pacific Vancouver

Take the Canada Line to Waterfront Station. The hotel is at Canada Place, one block from the station towards the harbour. The Canada Line is Vancouver’s new rapid transit rail link connecting YVR to downtown Vancouver in 26 minutes and to downtown Richmond in 18 minutes. It’s a fast and easy way to travel to Vancouver’s city centre. You can conveniently access trains from both the International and Domestic Terminals. Canada Line’s YVR-Airport station is centrally located between our International and Domestic Terminals.

I stayed at the Blue Horizon after my RCCL Radiance cruise a couple of years ago and loved it. Found it reasonable in cost and very nice.

I just walked from the port, so I have no clue about car services or anything. The next morning I took a taxi to the train station and took the train to Seattle for a couple of nights.

BUT I booked almost a year in advance.

In December I was helping my dad find a place for the cruise my sister and I are giving them for their 50th Anniversary and there were already slim pickings for rooms (lots of places already sold out), especially at budget rates. We ended up booking them at the Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown Vancouver on Hhonors Points - otherwise the hotels were going to be crazy

Good luck!!

Another vote for the Blue Horizon Hotel it is a great location lots of shops, restaurants and a liquor store within a block. We rented a car while in Vancouver so I can't help with a car service.

We just took taxis to/from the hotel.

For hotels we looked at one of those budget web sites that give you the general area of the city and the price but won't tell you the name of the hotel until you book. We ended up at the Ramada -- big mistake. Our room was right next to a night club so the walls vibrated(!) to the beat til 1 a.m. The hotel had several distinguished-looking international guests so I'm assuming it's a decent hotel but we were placed in the worst possible room, perhaps because of the cheapo way we booked it.

Vancouver has a lot of hotels, and they also have a lot of conventions staying in those hotels, so it's wise to book way in advance.

If you are coming in just the day before your cruise, and don't really have a need to see much of Vancouver, I would suggest looking into hotels near the airport and that are also close to Canada Line - so generally, hotels in Richmond. The price is generally lower in Richmond vs. the port area, which is in downtown Vancouver. As someone mentioned, the Canada Line is both fast and cheap to get to the port (and there are elevators if you have luggage). Otherwise, taxi service from YVR to downtown Vancouver has a flat rate of around $35-37 (no flat rate on return to the airport though.)

Staying at the Pan Pacific this year (using airline miles). Last time stayed at the Fairmont Waterfront. Both are right near the cruise terminal, just a short walk. The rail service is fast, clean and not too expensive, about $10CAN per adult. Have not rented a car because there are so many modes of transportation within the port area. We like the double decker bus tour that goes all around the city and to Stanley park.

In Vancouver taxis are so easy. I know it’s scary to be in a new place, but Vancouver isn’t scary.
