lol! i just posted similarly on this. They have control of DVD choices so they did a quick fix. Now DVD needs to up their collaborative skills with other branches. Ahem ticketing. Cough IT. Perhaps hire someone with full attention on those liaison roles with long term, big picture solutions in mind.

I think they did it as a selling point for when VGF2 goes on sale next month. They can't sell APs that the parks division isn't selling. This is an "oh look at this member exclusive that only direct purchasers can take advantage of".

I think it will help to have one more thing back from prior to the closure and will help with sales, nothing to do with AP's as DVD has no control over getting DPEP to sell them to DVC owners.

I am pretty confident if they could do it, as I said during the last pause, they would!

I agree, they probably expect VGF2 to fly off the shelf and they will have all kinds of cash in their pockets to burn. What happens if VGF2 does well in the beginning and falls flat after a month or two? The more I think of it, it is probably for VGF2, a good selling point, but AP’s we’re the biggest benefit. Yes benefits are not guaranteed, but they should not be advertising them for direct sales then. We will not be there for any of those dates. I wish all who are good luck in the queue. Hopefully Disney IT brings their C+ game next month (they do not have an A game, it is not the IT workers fault, it is leadership who brings a awful website to a fortune 100 company), otherwise it will be another dumpster fire .
