Now I'm REALLY confused-- AAA discount with dining plan package?

I just got off a marathon call with WDW adding tickets and dining to my room-only reservation for January. Got disconnected the first time before ever talking to a CM. On my second call, I was told I had to choose between a AAA discount and dining plan, because you can't have both (I'm NOT getting free dining, for the record), and anyway the AAA discount doesn't apply to a Wilderness Lodge deluxe room. Shortly after that, we got disconnected. Called back a third time (the aforementioned marathon call) and got everything booked, but was so frazzled and sweaty (82 year old house, no A/C) by that point, that I didn't bother to ask again about the AAA discount. So now I'm wondering if I missed out on a discount-- maybe the CM was right about it not applying to WL deluxe, but I thought you could get it as long as you're not doing free dining. Help?

You can only get a AAA discount on a package thru a AAA travel agent (and with a package you can get the dining plan) A disney cm can book you a disney price based package, a disney priced room only or a AAA discount priced room only.

Thanks-- I already have a AAA agent who I've booked through before (which is why I was so confused by what the CM told me). I guess he didn't really "lie" to me, but the way he said it sure implied that a AAA rate is absolutely not available with the dining plan, no matter who you get it through.

I would call a AAA travel agent....then you won't have to put up with the frustration. I got my package booked this morning....totally painless and a much bigger savings than I thought.
