Ugh!! Looked at the Disneyland website tonight and just noticed that now Indiana Jones Adventure is scheduled for a rehab while i'm on my trip. So now while i'm visiting the parks IASW, HM, Gadgets Go Coaster, the Aladdin show and now Indiana Jones will all be closed!! :headache:

I could understand the others and had prepared my self for them being closed but this is just making me sad, Indiana Jones was one of the rides I really wanted to go on. Is it usual for them to have so many big rides closed at once?

We're going in September too, so I just checked the calander--and, yep, it's closed for us too.:( . I probably wouldn't have ridden it anyway--I hate any type of thrill ride--but Dh was really looking forward to it.

It must be one heck of a rehab, because according to the calander it's closed through out the rest of June, all of July and August, and into September (maybe all of September? I didn't check past my vacation dates).
Anyone know what they're doing to it?:confused3

Why would they close down Indiana Jones for so long during the summer that the new Indiana Jones is released!!! That does not make any sense to me and it kind of makes me mad. I am going next week and that was my MUST SEE ride. I live closer to WDW and a trip to DL is harder for me to justify. Now I am going to miss one of the rides that I really wanted to see. :furious:

Another thing, why are they advertising the summer of Indiana Jones but not even have the ride open!!!:furious: :furious: :furious: Hmm... I hear Universal Studios is nice. Seriously considering not going to DL now.

I wondered about the timing of it too. Although I don't like it since that's when we're going, I can see doing rehabs in September, since it's off-season. But to have the Indy ride out of commission ALL SUMMER when they are promoting the new movie doesn't make much sense. Doesn't sound much like the summer of Indiana Jones when the main Indy ride isn't even open.:confused3

My poor DD is going to be REALLY crushed. She is finally big enough to ride this ride and has been sooooo looking forward to riding it. She has been talking about it for months now. Now that we have moved from CA to AL, it is hard for us to make it out to DL and unless we move back soon, we may not be back for a couple of years at least.

Oh, I am going to HATE breaking this to her.:sad::sad::sad::sad:

Obviously something major must have happened for them to close it during this promotional summer thing. Something unforseen perhaps?

Take heart: When I wen to DL this past winter, Matterhorn was supposed to be closed, but when we walked by, it was open! You never know...

None of the usual Disney sources reported Indy being down in their weekly updates. I would suspect something happened suddently forcing them to close it. I know it goes down an awful lot for malfunctions even when it's not scheduled for refurbishment. Hopefully they can fix the problem sooner than expected.

Indy has been going down a lot in the past 6 months. I ride it a lot and have noticed minor things being wrong for a while (snake lost his fangs, Indy at the end of the ride convulsing, we even stopped at the boulder for like 5 minutes just sitting there watching it roll towards us). They should have seen this comming or at least put it down for preventitive maintanence before the "summer of adventure".

Bummer!!! That was one of the rides I was most looking forward to! Must be a good reason I suppose. But...bummer!!:worried:

That is such a bummer, that is one of my favorite rides.

My kids have been looking forward to the Indy ride. Really bad that they waited until now to fix this ride. Since they knew about the new movie for months I figured they might have updated it in the off season. :(

This is terrible news! Im shocked with the new movie out and all!!

I thought no not JUNE!

Why didnt they fix it up over the winter????

We are really disappointed.

Im not sure Ill like DCA except for Soarin' Im thinking maybe doing US.

With Indy closed the other lines will be longer!

I JUST checked the closed rides for my day (June 30) a few days ago and IASW was the only one scheduled. So something must have happened to the ride forcing them to close it. It is such a complex ride though, one little thing breaking can throw the whole deal out of whack.

That SUCKS! It was closed when we there in February too! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

OH NO! This will be our first and only trip to DLR and that was going to be our first ride on our first day! Does anyone know what happened to make them close the ride so suddenly, and for so long, at such a foolish time?

Oh, what a bummer! :worried: I can't believe that it will be down all summer. That seems like an awfully long time just to fix a malfunction. It must be very extensive, maybe a huge redo? :( Who knows.
