I've been on a nonstop whirlwind these past several weeks, including an 8 night business trip that was extended to 9 by getting stranded in Denver overnight two weeks ago, and a SEVERE ear infection and upper respiratory infection that started within three hours of getting off the plane from my business trip (so severe that the convenient care dr. took one look in my ears and said they were probably the worst she had ever seen--including bubbles on my ear drum that had filled with fluid and middle ears completely filled with fluid). Went back to my Dr. yesterday and he said that one of my ears was still pretty bad, but if I was getting better that I could get on the airplane Friday morning with an extra dose of Sudafed to help my ears open up as much as possible.
So....blew right through all the single digit countdowns and sat down tonight and realized we leave home in less than 24 hours and arrive at MCO in less than 41 hours. WOW!!!! Can't believe this trip is finally here. DSD and DFIL have never stayed at BCV, so DW and I are looking forward to them getting to stay there. We are doing CP on Christmas Eve and are so looking forward to that since we did that same thing on Christmas Eve 1999. Hope we run into some fellow DVC DIS'ers while we are there--won't be able to make the Member Mixer party on December 29 (part of DFIL's surprise Xmas present is a trip to Kennedy Space Center that day) but we will keep our eyes out for the signs of a DIS invasion while we are there. Best wishes for a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and safe travels to all my DVC and DIS friends.
