Now I'm afraid to go to Liberty Tree Tavern - any other suggestions?

LTT is absolutely fine for us. Have been several times, and the food is on a par with all the restaurants in that particular price range ie moderate for WDW. The character interaction is good, and we have always had a great time. I absolutely prefer it to Whispering Canyon, but that is just my taste, and based upon personal experience, and I guess that is the key really. All reviews are personal, and experiences of the same place quite naturally differ, so give it a try. You may be pleasantly surprised.

I contributed to one or two of those threads, and I was one who said in my experience the food was mediocre. Even still, I don't think you should let those threads keep you away from LTT! Eat there and have your own experience. In all likelihood it will be a good one.

I have to agree with the people who suggest that you try LTT. We have always liked the food there and felt like it was a decent value for the price. Give it a try!

In MK- COLUMBIA HARBOR HOUSE, my husband and I had the best tuna fish sandwich with chips. I crave this sandwich all the time! :(

I would like to add this...

If you're going to LTT for a decent and plentiful meal with character interaction, then this is the place for you. If you want more of a "dining experience" I'd go elsewhere.

For the same price, though without characters, I would go to 'Ohana, which has more a variety of flavors, and lots of fun things for the kids (i.e. hula contest and coconut races). It is also just a short monorail ride away.

I think you made the right choice with staying with LTT.

Two of my favorite restaurants at WDW get somewhat mixed reviews on the DIS--Le Cellier and the Hollywood Brown Derby. I'm glad we tried both of those on our first trip despite our trepidation, b/c they are now must-dos!

We ate at LTT last july and really enjoyed it.
Give it a chance and form your own opinion.

We also ate at donalds breakfast in AK and thought it WASN'T very good. But from everything i've read people LOVED donalds, so maybe we were there on a bad day.
We will give donalds another try before totally crossing it off our list

This was our FAVORITE meal last visit to WDW! We had a dinner at LTT and it was an awesome experience and very good meal. I bet you will be glad you gave it a chance :D

LTT was our favorite dining experience last trip. Brilliant character interaction, good food and a fabulous server, Ronald - he made our DD feel really special. I wouldn't cancel - give it a try.

We did LTT on a whim - looking for a place to eat, DH spotted it.
We loved it last June. My DD fell in love with the mac & cheese.
My DS ate turkey and ham and more turlkey and ham.
The characters (at dinner) are a blast.
My DH said a joke to Chip - or was it Dale - they can not talk
in character - I guess he/she liked the joke so much Chip
fell to the floor and started to bang his/her "paws" on the floor.

It was a great place to have dinner before heading back to the
Dolphin. The bathrooms are very clean too.

We have our PS in for our last dinner at WDW this May.
enjoy :)

Hi there!

Liberty Tree Tavern is great! A nice home cooked meal of ham, turkey, mashed potatoes and salad. For dessert the boys had a decorate your own cake which they loved. The characters come to each table and happily take time so you can get plenty of pics. Don't change your ressies. We've been to most of the character dinners and this one was one of my husbands favorite because the food is good, the children are entertained, it is right on the park and it is a sit down meal, no back and forth to the buffet table. Enjoy!
