I got lots of great info on Verizon wireless and now I need some on Sprint PCS. How is their customer service? Is there good reception at Disney? Anything else I need to know? I'm hoping to make a decision soon. Thanks :)

I had Sprint PCS for several years and really liked it. .

The primary reason I got rid of is was that Sprint PCS has absolutely the worst customer service of any company of any type I've ever dealt with. It wasn't unusual to sit on hold for hours at a time to get answers.

You will get very mixed reviews on the customer service. I have found that if I want/need something of them, if I am polite and explain everything to them that they have been very helpful to me. I do most of my customer service needs in the store (don't know if that helps or not) but they have always been great and have helped me get what I need to done, done. Now I know others who have had trouble with customer service but I can't speak for what happened with them.

As for reception at WDW. I had good reception there. I lost my antenna and was using a 2 year old phone at the time (my newer one, Samsung N400 has much better reception in general). I had a little trouble at AK and indoor the buildings at Epcot especially (I think it had more to do with all the concrete than anything). Otherwise I would say that at WDW, my reception was good to very good.

Oh I wanted to say that I have been with Sprint with over 2 years now and just renewed my contract for an additional 2 years.

Good luck deciding :)

The absolutely WORST customer service I have ever seen!!!!!

Once you're enrolled they will put you on hold for 3 hours and then cut you off when you call about a problem! (Really happened to me!) The only way to avoid the wait (~30 min instead) was to press the "Cancel Service" option! He!He! They'll offer to give you a free month, etc.

Best reception with exceptions. WDW was great but in Reno once I ran into a NO Service situation. Wouldn't have been so bad but they "worked" on the problem for days before letting me know service was NOT available there! OUCH! Where else do they have this problem?

I've had sprint for a few years but I'm looking to change. Usually no problems but I now live in a dead spot and I can barely use my phone at the house. Since I use my cell # for work it is more than a little annoyance.

Since Verizon was rated best I'm thinking of switching to them. I'll have to find your old thread.

I have had Sprint PCS for about 3 years now. I've never had a problem with their customer service. I too live in a dead spot but they are putting up an antenna anyday now :) The only problem I have is I live in a flight path for JFK and if a plane goes over I sometimes lose my call :( but that could happen with any service.

I had SPrintPCS for about 3 years, loved it. WDW coverage was not that great, but enough to get by.

Then 911 happened, they lost tower on WTC, and since then NYC coverage is HORRIBLE. I cannot get *any* reception around work, nor home. Even when I have signals, the calls always got cut off after 15 seconds or so. It became so bad that I cannot even check my voice mail for weeks regularly.

When I took my phone to the service center, they said it's my phone ("too old"), and that there is NOTHING they can do to help me ("switch to Cingular if you want to"). I asked them why would I want to invest in another phone when they cannot prove it's their network's issues?

I switched to Cingular now. I am happy.
