and I haven't been been there yet.
I am working on my plan for our first trip to WDW and the Other side:) Aug 15-25.

I am already thinking of the next trip...every time I read a post, a guide, a web page, I come across new wonderful, delightful sounding things I want, no I MUST do, try, experience..

not enough time or money to get it all in one trip!

a wise person on the boards here said, "you go the first time so you can discover what you need to see the next few times"

AMEN!

That's soooooo true LOL. It's an addiction. Never enough time to see it all. Just make sure you slow up and enjoy what there is and not feel rushed that you have to see it all in one trip. You'll miss the special little things that are so cool.

lol as many times as i go its almost always as good as the first time. it really is its own world, and there is always something new and exciting :)

Never the same place twice!!!

I agree I was just there this past dec and there are already new things that they have added...not many, but still exciting! I can't wait to go back this dec. What a difference a yr makes. :yay: P.S. have fun on your first trip!

We were just having a conversation with our children about our Oct trip tonight. They've been to WDW twice younger but don't recall enough to remember the magic. They see the pictures and watch the videos but still wonder about the "magic" mommy and daddy talk about.

We were talking to them about how magical it is over the passage of time you can find yourself back in that perfect and magical place your heart desires. Even a simple picture of someplace in WDW will make you get chills.

I hope you have a wonderful time and find the magic follows you home.

We've found that the more we go, the more we are able to appreciate the nuances - the nooks and crannies. For example, when we first went it was all about the parks. Now we enjoy the resorts more - especially the ones off the monorail. We love to visit Fort Wilderness and plan the Hoop Dee Doo around the water parade. Its an oldie but it brings back great memories from our very first trip in 1983.

I agree, there is so much to do you can't possibly see it all in one visit. However, it is simply the MAGIC that keeps drawing me back! :tink:

My db never understood why we would try to go every year. (even thou they would go camping every summer to the same place). We finally talked them into joining us last year. They found the magic and had a trip planned for this year before us. It is an amazingly magical place. Enjoy the planning and the trip.

I barely talked my DH into our recent trip. I was shocked that he had such a great time that he agreed to a return trip in two years. I know that will be it as the kids will be 12 and 9 and he will not see any need to take them back again as we only went once as children. I kept him from going to the water parks because the little one isn't the best swimmer. I knew he would want to go to them so now that is what I used to convince him to go again! Always something new to see!

My DH and I went last year with 7 other family members. DH did not pack until the morning we were leaving because he really did not want to go. 3 months ago out of the blue, he said he wanted to go back - just the 2 of us (we don't have kids yet). His only wish was to stay at a monorail resort and to be able to see MK. We leave in 39 days. He is already talking about going next year to see the Christmas decorations. I think I've gotten him hooked!!!

That was so true for me. I went for the first time last year and plan on going many more times. I never understood why someone would want to go to the same place over and over again until I got to experience the magic.
