I read through the sticky about camcorders and got more lost!!
I am looking to purchase a camcorder. We have one that is about 12 years old and uses the mini-VHS? tapes. I would like one that is compact, that I can take a lot of video with (ie: not having to edit during a 10 day vacation). I am wanting to do regular home videos of kids, family that will hopefully look decent for my children when they are adults. I do not want to have to buy new computers to edit it, etc. Please steer me. I also want one that the techology will not "fizzle" out in a few years.
